Details

With over 40 years of guitar making heritage, George Lowden has been long known for his elegant acoustic line. Inspired by an artist’s request in 2016, Lowden’s interest in electric guitars was reignited, and by 2018 the GL-10 was born. The remarkable Macassar Ebony top immediately catches the eye, and upon further inspection one can’t help but notice the craftsmanship and finer appointments that Lowden’s instruments are known for.

The unique single cut design of this guitar, matched with its carefully sculpted contours, string through body and brass block insert, and hand rubbed oil finish, make for a balanced playing experience, both physically and tonally. These features are complimented by a pair of Lollar P90s that provide a player with tremendous clarity, raucous mid range bite, and an enormous amount of naturally occurring sustain. Paying attention to one’s right hand technique unlocks the true tonal dynamics of this refined instrument. Taking a step outside of the realm of traditional body designs with the GL-10 couldn’t be more rewarding.
