Details
Stephen Marchione describes his approach to building as "archival", meaning he crafts his instruments with immediate playability as well as serious longevity in mind. That could certainly be one reason why this 1998 model has held up so incredibly well over its two decades. Stephen crafted his 17" archtop with the goal of capturing the fullness and tone of an 18" archtop, while delivering the playability of a smaller bodied one. To that end, he retained much of the width in the arch, while scaling down the side depth to 3". Crafted of rich, well-balanced European spruce and punchy curly maple, the resulting tone has the power and presence to stand on its own acoustically. But when you're ready to amplify, Stephen has outfitted this guitar with floating PAF humbuckers, hand-wound and designed to his spec by DiMarzio.
Condition of this Cello Archtop is excellent, and it comes with its original tweed hard case.
