Martin's 0000s, "wide like a jumbo and thin like a 000", were inspired by conversions done in the 70s and 80s of their pre-war hybrid archtop F-9s. With their 16" lower bouts and slender bodies, the model gives players who prefer the curvier, smaller shape of an OM a serious boost of volume and presence. This special Custom Shop 0000 features an Adirondack spruce top paired with Madagascar rosewood for the back and sides. Madagascar rosewood has many of the same tonal characteristics as Indian rosewood, but to many ears it has more high end and an overall more complex tone. It's well-suited to this versatile model, giving flatpickers and strummers plenty of bite and projection, while keeping the sensitive responsiveness fingerpickers tend to prefer. Its voice is rich, with a complex, blooming bass, warm mids, and sweet highs. For folks who like it, the satin finish neck adds a nice texture and playability. Overall condition is excellent, and it comes with a TKL hard case.
