Details
This exquisite little 1919 00-21 just has it. The tone, the balance of complexity with woody warmth. Martins from this era generally aren't as sought after, given they weren't yet braced to withstand steel strings. But this one has been well-kept and more recently set up to handle .11s. The neck profile is fantastic. The V-shape is for notable, but it feels like it was carved for the hand rather than being carved for symmetry, and the wider nut width and string spacing is perfect for fingerstyle. This one has several repaired back cracks and overspray on the back, but is in sound condition and the playability couldn't be better. It's perfect for classical tunes and vocal accompaniment.
