Martin 1929 00-18, Mahogany & Adirondack Spruce - Pre-Owned

Martin's output in the 1920s wasn't as high as it would be in the 1930s and later. Given its relative rarity, a 1929 00-18 like this one—especially in such excellent shape and all original—is something special, indeed. By 1933, the 14-fret 00s would take center stage. But the 12-fret 00-18 has always appealed to a wide array of players over the decades due to its poignant mid-range, note clarity, and comfortable 1-7/8” nut width with generous string spacing. This guitar feels at home in the hands of any style of player with its versatile, woody, and punchy voice. With its Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and scalloped X-bracing with hide glue, this instrument emanates the tone and aesthetic of Martin’s most sought after period, while hearkening back to its 19th century predecessors.

Condition is excellent given the age, with only minor signs of wear and excellent playability. Please reach out for a detailed in-hand description!
