Martin's 0000s, "wide like a jumbo and thin like a 000", were inspired by conversions done in the 70s and 80s of their pre-war hybrid archtop F-9s. With their 16" lower bouts and slender bodies, the model gives players who prefer the curvier, smaller shape of an OM much more tonal volume and presence. This Custom Shop 0000 features a torrefied European spruce top paired with Madagascar Rosewood  back and sides, and also a custom neck based on one from a 1951 Martin the owner of this guitar really loved. The somewhat beefier neck certainly contributes to the overall tone of this Custom Shop 0000. Madagascar Rosewood offers an exceptional and overall complex tone, and it's well-suited to this guitar, giving flatpickers and strummers plenty of bite and projection, while keeping the sensitive responsiveness fingerpickers tend to prefer. Bound by flamed koa and with a flourish of abalone on the rosette, purfling and backstrip, this beautiful one-of-a-kind 2015 model is in great overall condition, save for some very minor pick wear and very light marks in the finish.
