Details
To a collector, condition may be everything. But those in search of "the tone" know that the best sounding pre-war Martins are the ones that look like they have been played. This seasoned 1938 D-18 has the battle scars to prove its legacy, and a mature, open voice that can only be developed through years of diligent play. A full bodied, authoritative attack, and a surprisingly complex decay rightfully declare that this is the tone that tone is based on. Maintenance includes a new bridge and bridge plate, along with a few re-glued braces, and a professionally cleated crack near neck block. While a great "Old Bone" may be thought of as the final stop for many guitarists with acquisition syndrome, this D-18 will remind you that mahogany should never be underestimated.
