Every pre-war Martin has a story, and this seasoned road companion has seen much more than inside of a case. If the alterations didn't tip you off to that fact that it has been played, the dry, open voice will convince you. The perfect ratio of punch to warmth makes this one an ideal candidate for playing with others or belting over six-string chords. A replacement bridge and bridge plate, a few professionally repaired cracks, and an overspray prevent this one from being marketed as a closet queen. But if it is true vintage Herringbone tone you're looking for, this workhorse will deliver in spades.
