Massachusetts-based luthier John Osthoff has crafted a gorgeous and unique fingerstyle-focused guitar with this FS 13-16 model. OM-sized for balance and focus, John describes his FS models as "great guitars for stage performance and an excellent instrument to add an acoustic pickup to." This one features a neck that joins the body at the 13th fret on the bass side and 16th on the treble, giving it a striking cutaway design. The Honduran mahogany used for the back and sides is nicknamed "Plum Pudding" mahogany for its drip-like figuring. Tonally, it's everything you could want out of a mahogany and Adirondack spruce guitar this size—crisp and clear, with chimey highs, strong and articulate mids, and a tight bass. Current condition, playability and build quality are all excellent. In addition to the wonderful tone, John's semi-gloss "gunstock" finish on the neck further improves left hand feel and fretting.
