Details

This SJ from Massachusetts luthier John Osthoff is complex, powerful guitar with a huge dynamic range. Built in 2018 for the seller, this small jumbo is unique in John's lineup as the only 14-fret non-cutaway SJ he's built (he typically makes them with a 13-fret configuration). Versatile, articulate Italian spruce is matched with Brazilian rosewood, not just on the back and sides, but the fretboard, bridge and binding and binding as well. A Kevin Ryan-style beveled armrest gives it the comfortable feel of a smaller guitar, and John's beautiful custom rosette and offset peghead add a memorable and elevated touch.
