This custom 12-string Small Jumbo from Michel Pellerin features an unusual and attractive set of tonewoods: Alaskan yellow cedar and flamed curly birch from the stash of fellow luthier Benoit Lavoie! Birch brings a maple-like clarity and transparency to any guitar, and combined with the lightning fast response of cedar, it provides a beautiful tonal voice for a 12-string. An excellent strummer, the seller also describes this guitar as being unusually well-suited to fingerstyle—listening to the demos, we definitely agree.

As if all that weren't enough, Michel added some fabulous ergonomic features. His 16" wide SJ shape is rendered more comfortable by a Manzer wedge, along with a multi 25-26" scale, and a perfectly executed scoop cutaway. The flamed maple bindings and a subtle sunburst unite the color palette, and Art Deco touches and an intricate black pearl inlay of a Native American-inspired otter make it even more distinctive. Note, too, the custom bridge, with six strings with bridge pins, the other six pinless. Lastly, a James May Engineering pickup (essentially a hot-rodded K&K) makes it gig ready.

This guitar is being sold via our Sell From Home service. The seller attests this guitar is in excellent condition with no noted issues. It is located in and will ship from Quebec, Canada.
