Tom Ribbecke's contributions to the craft of archtop guitar design are widely celebrated, and perhaps the most important innovation featured in his Halfling model lies in the soundboard design. A compound top carve enables the Halfling to achieve both treble clarity and low register sustain, overcoming two limitations of traditional Archtop design.

This powerful 17" archtop is crafted of flamed maple and western red cedar, and features a bass side round soundport and Kent Armstrong pickup with controls under the pickguard. Elegant and beautiful, with ebony from the headstock to the tailpiece and a cello-burst, this guitar features a notable appointment: the Larry Robinson inlay on the headstock. Intricate and hand-cut, it's a nod to the garden inhabited by Adam and Eve. The overall condition is excellent, with a few very light finish marks scattered across the body.
