Why not spread the cost?

Renowned as one of the most influential Jazz guitarists, Jim Hall has inspired half a century of jazz musicians, and earned himself the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master honor. Since 1982, Roger Sadowsky had maintained Jim’s guitars, and over the years the two began to collaborate to create an instrument that Jim would not only endorse, but also play. After many prototypes, Roger Sadowsky reduced the thickness of the 5-Ply Maple Laminate top and back, heightening the instrument’s acoustic response, minimized the body depth to control feedback, and shaped the neck to Jim’s preferred profile. Sadowsky then refined the design with a neck pickup duplicated from Jim’s original Guild/DeArmond pickup. Paired with his keen sense of aesthetics and design, Roger Sadowksy created a remarkable feeling, sounding, and looking guitar that was received enthusiastically by the late Jim Hall, honoring Jim with each Jim Hall Model Sadowsky produces.
