Details

The distinction between 000s and OMs can be confusing, but Santa Cruz has clearly defined their 000 by giving it the traditional 12-fret configuration and classic slotted headstock. They say of the design:

"The extension of the body to the 12th fret adds additional airspace, which translates into increased sound volume and a more predominate bass in the EQ. The slotted peghead is a standard feature that adds classic styling."

A timeless songwriting companion, vocal accompanist and fingerstyle favorite, it's at its best in a classic pairing like mahogany and Sitka spruce—balanced and warm, with a well-defined mid-range that brings out nuanced arrangements yet stays out of the way of vocals. They've proven that herringbone purfling and ivoroid binding go just as well with mahogany as they do with rosewood, giving this guitar the 28-style appointment set. This 2020 model is in excellent, nearly-new condition, and has become a quick staff favorite.
