Details

"The PJ is all about pure tonal sophistication. Every tried and true technique of lutherie is used to enable this guitar to fulfill one’s creative spirit. Genuine and elegant presence comes from each position on the fretboard, while a 24-inch scale and 12 frets to the body make the PJ effortless to play. This instrument holds songs, compositions and possibilities to last a lifetime."

The Santa Cruz PJ is an inspired take on the parlor guitar, "the pinnacle" of 19th century guitar-making. Intimate and easy to play, it nonetheless has undeniable complexity, especially given this illustrious combination of tonewoods. Soon-to-be unattainable ancient Sitka spruce meets Brazilian rosewood, for a dark, overtone-rich sound that is restrained by the diminutive size of the PJ's body. Simply adorned with MOP dot inlays, a single abalone rosette, and Brazilian rosewood binding and headstock veneer, this is a beautiful little heirloom guitar you'll want to keep close at hand.
