This gorgeous instrument from Santa Cruz is a stellar example of their Firefly Model, in a fantastic set of Indian Rosewood paired with a Cedar top.
Effectively stylised as a 'Mini-Jumbo', the firefly boasts a feel and tone you'd be hard pressed to believe possible from its stature and shorter 24" scale length. With an elastic and immediately comfortable feel under the left hand paired with an exceptionally rich and overtone laden output, the Firefly has a voice very much its own.
The detailed craftsmanship delivers the nuanced and exacting standards of Richard Hoover and his team with elegant blue details in the Purfling and Rosette of the guitar.
The voice of the instrument certainly cannot be understated. The Firefly is plenty loud and sits wonderfully in a mix amidst larger bodied instruments, offering a warm and well rounded tone with a hint of parlour-esque punch in the midrange.
The Firefly comes in a fitted, Santa Cruz branded, Ameritage Hardcase.
