A fingerstyle players dream, the Santa Cruz FS was designed with alternate tunings and intricate fingerstyle arrangements in mind. The seasoned builders from Santa Cruz put a special focus on the minimized energy imparted from a player’s fingertips and the reduced tension of open tunings to create a sophisticated instrument that responds with immediacy and volume. This custom built FS features a noteworthy Sinker Redwood top, carved from reclaimed old-growth redwood logs found in the rivers of Northern California, and an elegant Cocobolo backstrip, body binding, and peg head veneer. This specially engineered design of the FS, matched with it’s unique combination of woods, rewards a player with a full and balanced articulate sound, brilliant yet warm overtones, rich sustain, and an ease of playing that compliments the dynamics and touch of fingerstyle guitar playing.
