Santa Cruz OM, Indian Rosewood & Bearclaw European Spruce
When it comes to the classic OM design, SCGC makes some of the best. This upgraded OM-28 features a gorgeous, pale European spruce top with a subtle bearclaw. There's a reason European spruce is the favorite soundboard of many luthiers these days. Slightly less stiff than Adirondack, it rewards a strong player while having a nuance and sweetness that works well for fingerstylists, too. Indian rosewood brings a perfect balance of woodiness, warmth, and strong bass and trebles. In keeping with tradition, scalloped bracing and hot hide glue construction further recreate that classic OM sound. Beautifully accenting this guitar is matching herringbone purfling and rosette, and ivoroid binding.
The Presents video features a previously sold SCGC OM Indian rosewood with an Adirondack top—a very close relative to this model!
