Back in the 1980s, Santa Cruz was one of the first companies to reintroduce the versatile, classic Orchestra Model, taking elements of the old pre-war Martin OMs and refining them into something all their own. This 42-style OM is SCGC craftsmanship and tone at its finish. It sports carefully selected Indian rosewood for the back and sides, and a top of moon spruce. Moon spruce is most commonly Picea Abies, or European spruce, harvested in a traditional manner that results in a drier, more stable wood and enviably articulate, nuanced tone. This OM is dressed to the nines in abalone purfling from body to headstock, with ivoroid binding and snowflake and diamond fret markers. It may be pre-owned, but we're hard pressed to tell it from any of our brand new guitars.
