Details
Inspired by Martin's 0000, Santa Cruz's OM Grand has an ever-so-slightly wider lower bout that still sits comfortably in the lap, especially combined with the slim 4-1/4" depth. The result is extra projection and bass, but with no less responsiveness for lighter pickers, making this guitar a delight for fingerstylists and flatpickers equally. The 28-style combination of spruce and rosewood, finished off with ivoroid binding and a herringbone rosette and purfling is timeless. Tonally, it's everything you might expect: warm and nuanced, but erring on the drier side thanks to the Indian rosewood, with the balance of an OM but the dynamic range of a larger-bodied guitar. Overall, it's an incredibly versatile guitar, ready for the diverse player.
