Details

Ontario-based luthier Sheldon Schwartz handcrafts beautiful modern guitars. Coming up through the Timeless Instruments guitar-building school, and later finding guidance from fellow Canadian luthiers Linda Manzer and Grit Laskin, it's no surprise that Sheldon's guitars look and sound as good as they do. This SJ, much like his fingerstyle-oriented Pinnacle model, has a smaller 15" lower bout combined with a deep 4-3/4" body. Though well-balanced overall, that added depth gives this guitar a little boost in the bass. Featuring some stunning upgraded tonewoods, like bearclaw Engelmann spruce and Malaysian blackwood, this is a lush and complex-sounding guitar. In addition to a unique approach to voicing, Sheldon uses carbon fiber to reinforce the bracing and laminates the sides. EVO gold frets, a bent wood/drop top armrest (Sheldon's preferred bevel), and a smooth Venetian cutaway offer even more playability. All in all, it's a versatile mid-sized guitar that will especially impress adventurous, modern fingerstylists.

The prior owner took excellent care of this guitar, keeping it in a humidity-controlled home studio.
