Luthier Bruce Sexauer describes his FT-15-D model as a 000 that sounds like a more balanced dread, and we wouldn't disagree with that assessment! With a slightly unusual shape and configuration—the neck joins the body at the 13th fret—this is a striking guitar that delivers up excellent tone and can pivot between fingerstyle and a flatpick easily. The Adirondack spruce and Brazilian rosewood tone is gorgeous, dark, and complex, further enhanced by an oil varnish finish. As we've experienced with Bruce's guitars in the past, his combination of choice tonewoods with a totally handcrafted and customized approach results in a one of a kind, exquisite instrument.
There are some minor signs of cosmetic wear here and there, but nothing keeping it from excellent status.
