Built in Alder for the body, with a Resin top that allows Michael to create a collage of materials and items that work to define the personality of the instrument. In this instance, a Chinese carving of a man riding a dragon, which led to the naming of the guitar inspired by the legend of St. George and the Dragon.
The Rosewood topped Mahogany neck is a real dream to play, with wonderful articulation and clarity to each note through the registers of the instrument, and a great feel for a variety of playing styles.
The pickups in this instrument consist of a set of Spalt BoneTop P-90s in close proximity that can be used either as standalone coils or together in parallel as a truly huge sounding Humbucker. With the responsive onboard volume and tone controls this setup proves remarkably versatile indeed.
