The Totem-X was designed by Michael Spalt with the player in mind, in both the ergonomics and accessibility of the instrument without losing any of Michael's signature visuals and feel.
With a streamlined and consistent specification of Alder Body meets Maple Neck and a set of pickups from Lindy Fralin and TV Jones, the guitar covers a huge range of tones from the familiar through to the inspired, a versatile workhorse.
Although the spec of these instruments is maintained across the line, each guitar still remains unique, with the choices of material in the 'collage' top lending the instrument its own character in distinctive Spalt fashion.
Here's a word from Michael on the Totem-X;
"Totem-X guitars are meant as workhorses, designed based on my experiences as repairperson and tech for a lot of traveling and gigging bands when I ran the L.A. Guitar Garage shop in Los Angeles. But each guitar is still an individual piece of art - a unique stage instrument."
