Rory Dowling calls this custom DS13 "a celebration of maple, Swiss, and elm", and the happy owner calls it, "Simply the greatest sounding maple guitar I've ever played!" We'd agree with both! Rory's Dowling Signature guitars are a series that celebrate his fifteen years of guitar making expertise, and each one is "meticulously hand-crafted and uniquely detailed" in his workshop in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife, using the finest materials available and utilizing sonic developments he's made in collaboration with world-class musicians.

This DS13 revisits the wood combinations of the DS2, proving just how incredibly dynamic and compelling maple can be as a tonewood. It is replete with the appointments we most associate with Rory—his use of native Scottish accent woods and the hot sand fade technique seen on the bevel, rosette, and headstock is just as beautiful as ever. Ergonomic and player-focused features like the tapering on the lower bout, the beveled armrest, side soundport, and EVO gold frets with seamless fret ends make for a playing experience unlike any offered by an off-the-rack guitar.
