Details

We are so excited to have this instrument from the one and only Rory Dowling, of Taran Guitars. This is another of the gorgeous Tirga Mhor Models, featuring Macassar Ebony for the back & sides and Adirondack Spruce for the top.

This is a DS Model- 'Dowling Signature'- meaning that it is a speculative build implementing developments and features which Rory has been working on. The choices and designs are informed by Rory's years of experience and combinations which he believes will create the absolute best outcome.

The Tirga Mhor is Rory's take on the 000 and this design has been the result of many discussions with Martin Simpson. The Tirga Mhor is designed with an open voice enabled by the 12th fret bridge position with lots of 'spit' with its powerful attack. As with its sister model the Tirga Beag the Mhor has good separation across a very dynamic range.
