Details

Judging by Jeff Traugott’s finely crafted guitars, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to find out that he worked for Santa Cruz Guitar Company before striking out on his own. Since setting up his workshop in 1991, he has been crafting a very select number of instruments each year, allowing him to give his full attention to each guitar and to each musician for whom he builds.

The Model R is his most popular design, comparable in size to a standard Martin OM, but ever so slightly bigger overall. Full-bodied and easy-playing, it's a delightfully versatile instrument in any tonewood combination. But this particular R comes outfitted in German spruce and a set of straight-grained Brazilian rosewood--a pairing that's easy to love, especially in Jeff's capable hands. The tone is rich and complex, with the scooped out mids sound that Brazilian rosewood is known for. The smooth, modern curves of the body and bridge are accented by a beautiful abalone rosette. Those with especially discerning ears and fingers should note the rosewood fretboard, which is touted as providing extra warmth and natural wood feel.

This pre-owned 2020 model is in excellent condition, and comes with its original Hoffee hard case.
