Jamie Wiens doesn't cut corners when chasing "the sound", and his instruments have the voice to prove it. True to tradition, his recipe for success includes the finest materials available and a meticulous, hands-on building approach. The result is a powerful, balanced sound with a tight, yet present low end, and highs that cut through the mix like a hot knife without being brash. The comfortable soft V neck profile sits right in the middle, being not too big, and not too small, and the flat fingerboard is easy to move around. The thin varnish finish has some character marks, but everything is structurally solid and in tact with no repairs. The addition of a K&K pickup, EVO fretwire and Waverly tuners make this a gig-friendly instrument that could hold its own against anything out there. Jamie's instruments don't show up on the market very often, and if you are in the market for a strong sounding F that has had time to open up, this one is right up your alley.
