This pre-owned Concert model by David Wren features Old Growth Indian Rosewood back and sides and a Master Grade Lutz Spruce top.
Toronto based luthier David Wren started his guitar building journey in 1973 when he was accepted as an apprentice by universally acclaimed luthier Jean-Claude Larivee.
He started his own shop in 1977, taking what he had learned to new heights and making beautiful custom instruments, in some cases for such esteemed clients as Jackson Browne and Joan Baez.
This particular guitar is a delightful showcase of David's craftsmanship and attention to detail, with a beautiful Wren inlaid into the 5th fret one of the more standout aesthetic features.
The Concert body size makes the guitar incredibly comfortable to play, and in tandem with the Old Growth Indian Rosewood and Lutz Spruce the guitar puts out a stunning, balanced tonality and really sings when you dig in with a flatpick.
That being said, the rich overtones and harmonic complexities of the guitar come alive when played fingerstyle, with everything in-between making for an exceptionally versatile and balanced instrument.
This guitar was built in 2012 and comes to us in excellent condition with a hard shell case.
