Details
Vintage Yamaha acoustic guitars have humbly withstood the test of time with grace and consistency, and this 1971 FG-2000 is no exception. After gaining immense credibility for their affordable and beloved acoustic guitars, Yamaha began to introduce a lineup of several high-quality acoustic models in the late 1960’s featuring solid woods, and select upgraded appointments, beginning with the FG-500. By 1971 the FG-2000 was born, boasting a solid Ezo Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, a truly unique proprietary purfling and rosette, and tasteful fretboard inlay work. This “first generation” FG-2000 model produces a larger-than-life full-bodied voice with prominent low end and rich highs. The Yamaha 1971 FG-2000 is not only a historical piece of Yamaha’s high-end guitar lineage, but it is also full of life, in incredible condition, and a true joy to play.
